Arkansas Says: No More Toddler Marriage! Ed Philly Says: What???
Apparently, there was a recently discovered loophole in an Arkansas bill, that set no minimum age limit on parental consent for minors to wed. Meaning, that any newborn child was legal to get married with consent from the parents.
I have to admit, this really pisses me off.
Now I gotta take my daughter outta the country to marry that 4 year old, with the rich parents, down the street! This was going to be my fucking meal ticket, dammit! I had it all planned out: get em' married, let em' settle in for a few months, hire the slutty 5 year old girl, from around the corner, to make some moves on him, and then outta nowhere, my daughter would divorce his ass, and take half his toys!
If that's not genius, then I don't know what is!
It's always something though. I guess Governor Mike Beebe (thats an odd last name) was afraid that some pedophiles were gonna start kidnapping kids, and try to marry them.
Like that would happen! Stop being paranoid Gov. Beebe (seriously...try saying that name...it's weird!), like a pedophile really wants to settle down with one child. No sir, they want them all!!!
So I guess it's back to the drawing board for me. It's a shame too, those rich parents were going to trade me a goat for their son to marry my daughter. I guess I gotta buy my own fucking goat now!
Thanks alot Arkansas!

HTML vs. Wordpress: I Think I'm Losing!
I got an awesome shout out from Bobby today, complimenting my tireless efforts in building this site from a blank page. Which also led to more props for me on the wall.
Name: Teeni
Web Site: The Vaguetarian Tea Room
Site Rating: 10
Visitor Comments: Saw your link at Bobby Revell's and just wanted to see what a site made entirely of HTML looked like. So I have to give you props - this looks fantastic. I like HTML myself but I don't think I'm even a fraction ambitious enough to attempt something like this. Nice job
The first line there kinda makes me feel like a dinosaur...like I'm rubbing two sticks together to make fire, or still sporting a pager! I do have to thank Teeni though, not only for the mad love, but for actually being right on point with what I was planning on writing about today!
I love my HTML! I've been rocking it for 10 years straight! I know all sorts of useless, obsolete codes, such as , which I will never use again, I promise. However, with technology expanding, and the overall population wanting things done faster and made easier, it's not only taking away from the things that I've learned through HTML, but it's also shut me out quite a bit as well.
Now, I've never used Blogger, or Wordpress (I'm guessing those are the popular ones now) to make any form of blog or website, so I'm not 100% sure of their capabilities, but I do know, that anyone using these sites has an upper advantage on me, in the way of gaining/sustaining traffic. I'm not trying to cry up a storm here, I know how to get traffic (got me 10 years of experience), but there are things that you guys can do, that I cannot.
I'm pretty sure that anyone using Wordpress, gets a head start (if not full on support) with things like SEO, and RSS. Theres also a lot of traffic opportunities that I hear about, and get excited over, only to realize, that I have no "pinging", or widget, or plugin capabilities to join in with.
I will admit, that there are times, where I have tried to join in with blogging community activities, and am kinda...not welcome because of my programming differences. That's not directly by people, because if I didn't say this was built from scratch with HTML, most of you would never know, but for example Feedburner. I can barely get my RSS to work as it is (made that from scratch too), let alone try to figure out all the shit Feedburner is trying to hook me up with, mostly because, Feedburner seems to be built for places like Blogger, and Wordpress.
Although, I could be totally wrong. Like I said, I have never used Wordpress, most likely never will. I do think very highly of it for people starting out, or trying to setup a lot of sites in a short amount of time, and I think the things that it's doing are awesome.
There are just lots of times, where I don't always feel like I have the edge that I once did.
I love what I'm doing, and I most likely won't ever stop, but its' hard to keep up with the times, when everyone else took a separate route 5 miles back.
Ha...I might as well be sporting a pager!
