About Ed Philly
I’m a husband, father, poker player, boss, alcoholic, analytical genius, asshole, pro wrestling fan, retired rapper, and web designer. I primarily enjoy drinking, and making fun of people…and I do both very well! My wife, NomieHomie not only puts up with all my crap, but often assists, and encourages me to continue doing so. Together we have an 8 year old daughter, Cloey, who is practically my clone. I imagine in 8 years, she too will start a website, name it WhitegirlStyle, and pick up where I eventually leave off.
If you want to learn more, read the site, or just ask! I love getting emails, especially from morons! So if you’re a moron, stop what you’re doing, and email me!
About Whiteboystyle
I began this site back in 1997, under it’s original name Tedmans Nite Cap. This was back before the words blog, google, myspace, and wireless internet even existed. I made the site with nothing but some basic HTML codes I found in a computer magazine, and a copy of photoshop. The goal was nothing more than to reach out to the world. I was too ugly to be on tv, and my voice cracked too much to be on the radio, so Tedmans Nite Cap was born. The original theme was a late night talk show combined with a dirty bar. Some of the original concepts such as the Wall Scratchings, and Drunken Tales still exist to this day, with the Wall Scratchings probably being the most well known of all the sections.
After a few months, I decided I hated the theme, and went with something a little more personal, Club Ted. Same site, with a different name, and layout. The Club Ted period was probably the best few years my site ever had. I began posting more humerous, controversial, and personal items, getting tons of attention through word of mouth, and seach engines. Club Ted lasted from 1998-2001, before I eventually moved out of my moms house, and lost my drive, and internet connection. Sadly, my thousands of daily readers died with the site.
In 2002 I began a brief comeback, changing the website to Whiteboystyle. Still the same site, but once again, with a new name, and layout. This was also around the time I met my wonderful wife, NomieHomie. In 2003, we had our daughter Cloey. The site was up and down through this time, but mostly down. After getting married, times became hard, and we spent a very long time with no internet connection, making bringing Whiteboystyle back, nearly impossible.
In 2007, not only was I on the internet again, but I had the urge to bring back the website that carried me through my teenage years, now, with a little more edge. The Whiteboystyle domain name was purchased, and I was back on the internet. Whiteboystyle lasted another year and a half before bitterness, burnout, and a hectic workload caused me to walk away once again. A short come back in 2009 gave some loyal readers some hope, but I was just too frustrated, and wiped out to continue.
Now, in 2011, I return…hopefully for a while. Thanks to my wonderful new toy, DreamWeaver, rebuilding has taken me less than half the time it normally had handcoding everything.
Whiteboystlye.com is currently a launch pad for other projects currently in the works. We are currently hosting other projects such as Zomebie Tapdance, and Sweet Madeline’s, both of which are currently under construction.
